The Burgo Fashion Institute has over 60 years of teaching experience in the fashion sector: it is an uninterrupted vocation linked to Italian fashion and made in Italy, years that have led to an improvement of the educational system with innovative methodologies, books and programs now reference points for many other fashion schools both in Milan and around the world. The most important recognition is given by the fashion companies that find in our Institute the best reference for the recruitment of new actors in the fashion field. In 60 years we have witnessed the birth and disappearance of many schools, so we think that 60 years are an important guarantee on the validity, vision and seriousness of our institute.

MISSION
In a market situation gradually expanding to foreign countries, Istituto di Moda Burgo offers the opportunity to acquire and/or improve the technical, artistic and professional skills, thus improving the professionalism, both in business and private sectors. The teaching method used is at the forefront of modern active learning and ensures the achievement of a sound knowledge of the fashion industry. The teachers, strictly selected with care and highly skilled, they are trained in the use of the methodology and constantly updated.
Certifications
Lombardy Region Accreditation
Istituto di Moda Burgo with the inscription no. 811 of 12/19/2013 is entered in the register of accredited operators for training by the Lombardy Region, according to the Decree of the Regional Council n. 2412 of 26.10.2011 and executive decrees.
Quality Certification
Istituto di Moda Burgo, an international leader in fashion education, has developed a training method aimed to optimize and emphasize learning efficiency, having has the main objective the inclusion of its students into the labour market. ISTITUTO di MODA BURGO srl received ISO Certification for Quality Management Standards (UNI EN ISO 9000/2008) with the caption: “Planning and providing training courses in the field of Fashion” for the seriousness and professionalism always demonstrated and excellence in results by the following organization:
Code of Conduct and Ethics
Istituto di Moda Burgo adopts the Code of Ethics, especially as a bill of rights and moral duties, with a view of social responsibility, which should govern, without exception, all members of the same organization (managers, employees, consultants, partners, and suppliers) in both internal and external relationships and for the achievement of the Company Mission.
Quality policy
The Burgo Fashion Institute defines the quality policy by reporting the objectives and purposes that it sets itself.
Supervisory Body
Istituto di Moda Burgo, in order to monitor the compliance and the updating of the Management System of the Administrative Responsibility / Organizational Model 231, set up a special board, explicitly required by Legislative Decree 231/01, entitled “Supervisory Body” (SB). The SB responds to the Administrative System and performs all the support activities and investigations necessary to accomplish the work of the same system.

Istituto di Moda Burgo is a founding member of the Platform that brings together the Italian excellences in training for fashion.
Lectra
Our Institute is a Lectra privilege partner. The fashion schools which are partners Lectra are about a thousand in the world, but only a few can claim to be privilege partners and Istituto di Moda Burgo is one of them.
National and International Relations
Our Institute boasts collaborations and relationships with schools and universities around the world, such as Sasada Institute in Japan, IDA in India, University of Shenghen in China, Fashion Lab School in Korea and with many other institutions such as the City of Milan, the Province of Milan, the Lombardy Region and the “Artisans Union” of Milan. The constant presence of our director among the classrooms for daily monitoring of our students’ progress is a guarantee for our students. The work done by Fernando Burgo with the Burgo Fashion Institute was awarded with Ambrogino d’Oro 2014 (Civic Benemerenza of Milan) because thanks to him, our Fashion Institute, with offices throughout Italy and in many foreign countries, teaches the foundations of stylistic creation and tailoring to thousands of students around the world, creating work and giving prestige to a Milan record.
